Job summary

Textron Systems in Wilmington, MA, seeks a Quality Manager to lead the Quality Engineering team and own AS9100-based QMS across programs, ensuring readiness for full-rate production. You will drive lean initiatives, develop talent, and collaborate with Production Control, Contracts, Engineering, and program leadership to exceed customer requirements.

The role requires 4–7 years in AS9100 manufacturing, a Bachelor's in a related field, and a track record of implementing quality systems; DoD

Qualifications

4–7 years of quality leadership experience in an AS9100‑regulated manufacturing environment
Strong experience in Aerospace and Defense best practices
Expert knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS)
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
Six Sigma certification desired

Responsibilities

Lead a team of Quality Engineers and develop the next generation of Quality Engineers and future leaders
Promote an end-to-end Lean & Quality focus—from suppliers through manufacturing processes to customers
Ensure AS9100QMS processes are documented, executed, and audited with evidence of compliance
Maintain quality reporting, corrective/preventive actions, Internal Auditing System and customer complaint tracking
Lead timely root cause analysis and corrective actions
Drive use of lean and quality tools and benchmark world-class practices
Plan, assign, and direct work activities; coach and develop employees
