Job summary

Textron Systems, part of Textron, is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer IV to lead quality initiatives across product design, planning, production and data analysis. You will drive root-cause investigations, establish traceability for DoD programs, and coordinate with manufacturing and suppliers to ensure robust process controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience, preferably in an AS9100 environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and data analysis techniques.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of statistical techniques and applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to apply analytical thinking to problems.
• Curiosity and a passion for learning.
• Ability to work in teams and independently.
• Extensive Quality Engineering and manufacturing process knowledge.
• Experience with Oracle (ERP) and Solumina (MES).
• Ability to lead and influence teams and interact with senior leadership including customers/government.
• Eligible for U.S. DoD security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality initiatives and deliverables for product design, planning, production, data analysis and metrics development.
• Perform root-cause analysis and corrective actions on high-impact issues.
• Maintain 100% traceability on DoD programs and participate in audits.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing and Supplier teams to define process controls.
• Guide design reviews for manufacturability and quality.
• Mentor junior staff and provide technical leadership.
• Support program management activities and contract data deliverables.
