Motion Recruitment is seeking an experienced AS400/IBM i Infrastructure Analyst for our Phoenix-area client. This on-site role supports enterprise IBM Power Systems environments, focusing on high availability, security, and DR readiness.

You will collaborate with application, database, and operations teams to maintain reliability and optimize infrastructure performance. You should bring 5+ years of IBM i / AS400 admin experience, PowerHA/MIMIX/iCluster familiarity, and strong problem-solving

Qualifications

5+ years IBM i / AS400 administration experience.
Experience with IBM Power Systems environments.
Strong IBM i OS administration knowledge.
Experience with PTFs, OS upgrades, backup and recovery.
Performance monitoring and capacity planning experience.
Understanding of IBM i security administration.
Experience supporting production environments.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

Administer and support IBM i infrastructure platforms.
Monitor performance and system health.
Implement upgrades, patches, and system changes.
Manage user access and security controls.
Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
Automate operational tasks where appropriate.
Create and maintain technical documentation.
Partner with multiple infrastructure and application teams.
