Job summary

A school district in Illinois is seeking a Substitute Custodian to work on an as-needed basis. Your main responsibilities will include cleaning classrooms, hallways, and various facilities, as well as performing setup tasks. Candidates must have the ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work with flexibility at multiple sites. The starting pay is $18.42 per hour and unfortunately, health and dental insurance benefits are not included.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work at multiple sites.
• Ability to accept work with short notice.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to be standing/walking for an 8 hour shift.
• Ability to push/pull garbage cans, carts, vacuums, brooms, etc.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning classrooms, hallways, lunchrooms, gyms, bathrooms, offices, and other rooms.
• Cleaning floors including mopping and vacuuming.
• Emptying trash.
• Performing set up tasks which may include moving furniture, chairs, tables, and other large items.
• Other duties as assigned by the shift supervisor.
