Job summary

Georgia Highlands College is seeking a part-time instructor in Psychology to deliver courses at the Floyd, Cartersville, Marietta, and Paulding instructional sites. Reporting to the Division Chair for the School of Social Sciences and Education, the instructor will prepare for and deliver instruction, maintain records, and participate in assessment of student learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in subject or Master’s degree with 18 hours of graduate-level courses in Psychology.
• Must be available to teach day, evening, or weekend at any of the Georgia Highlands College instructional sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage courses through systematic use of syllabi (Instruction delivery and course management).
• Keep accurate records of students’ class performance, attendance, and grades.
• Adopt and implement common course objectives.
• Attend part-time faculty orientation prior to the beginning of the semester.
• Participate in assessment of student learning outcomes.
