3 Key Consulting, Inc. is hiring for an Artwork Quality Control & Human Factors Prototype Specialist – Combination Products in Thousand Oaks, CA. This contract role supports QC and inspection of Instructional Design artwork deliverables and builds physical study stimuli for Human Factors activities.

The ideal candidate has strong manual dexterity, experience with artwork production, labeling, and print workflows, and can work onsite at the client in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or 4+ years in QA/QC or related field.
• 2–3 years in a QA/QC environment, especially artwork/packaging.
• Strong visual/content inspection and record-keeping.
• Onsite work regularly in Thousand Oaks, CA; ability to support time-sensitive builds.
• Manual dexterity for precise cutting, folding, gluing and assembly.

Responsibilities

• Artwork quality control and inspection.
• Review labeling artwork files per SOP and references.
• Inspect artwork for layout, legibility, version control, and accuracy.
• Document inspection observations; route findings to designers and maintain records.
• Support continuous improvement of inspection checklists and job aids.
• Build physical study stimuli for Human Factors activities; print-ready artwork edits.
• Operate in-house printers; perform setup, quality checks, and troubleshooting.
• Finish work including printing, trimming, folding, gluing, labeling, assembly.
• Organize study materials with clear version control and staging.
• Photograph and document completed stimuli for traceability.
• Provide onsite support for tight timelines and last-minute changes.
