Job summary

Scottsdale Arts is seeking an Arts Educator to join the Learning & Innovation team. This on-call, part-time role supports SALI initiatives, workshops, and tours at SMoCA and other venues. The position offers evenings and weekends, flexible scheduling, and remote work options where feasible, located in Scottsdale, AZ.

The role emphasizes working with diverse communities, educational programming, and community engagement, with compensation around $19.74/hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field such as art, education, museum education, museum studies, or theater.
• 6+ months of related experience with learners of all ages and backgrounds or teaching groups.
• Understanding of curriculum standards and ability to work with diverse communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide programming support for SALI initiatives including events, festivals, overnight retreats and workshops.
• Facilitate learning opportunities related to Curriculum and exhibitions at SMoCA, provide matinee support at the Performing Arts Center, lead workshops or programs.
• Communicate effectively with staff such as Community Engagement Manager, SALI Coordinators and curators.
• Assist in maintaining all activities, materials, spaces, and other program elements; manage supplies and event documentation.
• Track visitor attendance and feedback to ensure a memorable, positive experience for attendees.
