Job summary

American Conservatory Theatre Foundation in San Francisco seeks a School Programs Manager to lead Education & Community Programs, supervise Teaching Artists, and manage school residencies. Qualifications

  • Teaching Artist or instructional coach with classroom theater experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, theater, nonprofit management, or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of progressive experience in arts education administration.
  • Strong project management, producing, and budgeting abilities.
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusive education.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor Teaching Artists and provide feedback.
  • Lead talent pipelines: hiring, onboarding, contracting, and orientations.
  • Observe classes and evaluate instruction with rubrics.
  • Refine curricula for residency programs and performances.
  • Coordinate advanced training sessions and professional development.
  • Manage residency budgets and project resources.
  • Collaborate with teachers, artists, and departments to align aims.
