Job summary

Berkeley Repertory Theatre is seeking a Training and Professional Programs Manager within the Berkeley Rep School of Theatre. The role leads the design, implementation, and evaluation of public training programs for adult learners while expanding youth programming aligned with the theatre’s mission.

Qualifications

• Four years of experience teaching theatre or developing arts-based learning programs.
• Experience designing or facilitating professional development workshops is a plus.
• Experience working with Teaching Artists or educators in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a rotating schedule of theatre training programs for youth and adult learners.
• Design and implement 100–130 classes across the season with income and space planning.
• Lead Professional Development workshops for businesses, schools, and community partners.
• Recruit, onboard, and provide coaching to Teaching Artists, ensuring curriculum alignment.
• Coordinate scheduling, logistics, and communication for program engagements.
