Job summary

The Cain Center for the Arts seeks a Director of Education and Engagement to lead education, ceramics, visual arts, and community programs. The role focuses on strategic direction, program quality, and team leadership in a growing arts organization.

Based in Cornelius, NC, the position requires strong management, strategic planning, and data‑driven program development, with evening/weekend hours as needed and a commitment to community impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in arts, education, or related field; master’s preferred.
• 5–7+ years of progressive leadership in arts education, community engagement, or visual arts management.
• Strong project and operational management, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for arts education, ceramics, visual arts exhibitions, and community engagement programs.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team and ensure high‑quality educational programs and exhibitions.
• Develop partnerships, oversee budgets and grants, and represent Cain Center in the community.
