Job summary

The New School is seeking an Admission Counselor to lead recruitment and enrollment for undergraduate and graduate programs across Parsons, Lang, Performing Arts, and other schools.

This role emphasizes travel, holistic review of applications, and collaboration with faculty to drive yield and enrollment across disciplines. In-person campus work is primary, with hybrid options possible based on need.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; excellent public speaking and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s license and passport for international travel are required.
• Experience in a multi-disciplinary higher education environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and enroll students for undergrad and graduate programs across all colleges.
• Travel extensively across the U.S. and internationally to represent programs at schools and events.
• Coordinate reviews with faculty and staff to drive yield and admissions decisions.
• Collaborate with departments to plan and execute campus recruitment events and orientation sessions.
• Manage outreach to prospective students and families via phone, email, and social media.
