Parsons School of Design at The New School is seeking a dynamic student assistant for the admissions team. You will respond to inquiries, maintain digital records, and help prepare recruitment materials for virtual and on-campus events.

Parsons’ student assistants work collaboratively in the Parsons admission department responding to, cataloging as necessary, and fielding general inquiries, maintaining digital records, preparing recruitment materials for and participating in various virtual and in-person events as needed, and performing various administrative tasks including responding to email, and representing Parsons School of Design and its admission office from the current student‑perspective.
The incumbent will assist with inquiries directed to Parsons from internal and external stakeholders, including prospective students and families, applicants, and admitted and deposited students.
Parsons’ student assistants report directly to the assistant and associate directors of Parsons’ admission offices.
We are looking for a dynamic, motivated individual who can work independently but is also a team player.
The ideal candidates for this position are undergraduate and graduate students interested in leveraging their positive experiences at Parsons, and working on a small team, to field inquiries from prospective students, families, and other constituents.
Experience in an office setting or customer service is a plus.
Applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at Parsons School of Design at The New School.
Students from all of Parsons’ undergraduate and graduate academic disciplines are encouraged to apply.
Strong writing and speaking skills are essential.
