Job summary

City of Healdsburg is seeking a part-time Arts and Culture Program Administrator to help implement the Arts and Culture Master Plan and support the Arts and Culture Commission, public art program, and community events.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work evenings for Commission meetings. It is an in-person, non-benefited position limited to 1000 hours per fiscal year.

Qualifications

• Training: Coursework, certification or degree in arts administration, public policy, public administration, social science, business, or related field.
• Experience: Two years’ experience performing similar duties in community arts programming, arts administration, or related fields.
• Licenses and Certificates: Valid California driver's license during employment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate development and oversee strategic direction of the Arts and Culture Master Plan with the Arts and Culture Commission.
• Coordinate with City and outside organizations on arts program areas and projects aligned with the Master Plan.
• Build and maintain relationships with commissions, artists, arts organizations, businesses, and other groups.
• Promote arts and cultural activities to engage residents, businesses, and visitors.
• Assist with fundraising and grant efforts.
• Prepare staff reports and attend Arts and Culture Commission meetings to provide information and guidance.
