Job summary

James Madison University (CVPA) seeks a full-time Contract and Building Coordinator for the Forbes Center for the Performing Arts. The role oversees the artist contract lifecycle and facility management, including access control, repairs coordination, safety processes, and fixed-asset stewardship.

The successful candidate will translate deal memos into compliant agreements, manage workflows through approval and execution, and serve as Building Manager coordinating services, access, and assets

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating contracts, agreements or complex admin workflows.
• Ability to interpret policy, follow procedures, and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Draft, route, and track artist agreements, addenda, and riders per approved memos.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Legal Affairs to ensure compliance with standards.
• Maintain templates, records, and logs; archive documents per policy.
• Coordinate budgets, insurance, and payment schedules with CVPA Business Office.
• Coordinate travel-related duties and rider obligations when artists are on-site.
