Job summary

RED MOUNTAIN THEATRE CO is seeking a Company Manager/Artistic Assistant to collaborate with the Artistic Director in Birmingham, AL. You will identify, secure, and engage cast and creative leadership for productions, serving as liaison among actors, directors, designers, and AD throughout auditions, casting and contracting.

You will also manage the AD's calendar, coordinate travel and housing for guests, and assist the team with budget tracking and special projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• 3 years experience in a professional theatre environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Self-starter, highly motivated, and able to work in a fast paced environment
• Experience handling confidential information
• Proficient in MS Office and Outlook
• Ability to manage multiple tasks to schedule

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of show budgets and track adherence
• Organize and execute the audition process with cross-department collaboration
• Assist in casting and contracting of actors and creative teams
• Coordinate travel, housing, and expenses for artists and visiting talent
• Coordinate with production team for access codes, comps, and catering
• Maintain artist database and liaison between artists, directors, and the Artistic Director
• Manage Artistic Director's calendar and gatekeep time and office
• Draft and edit communications for contracts
• Other duties as assigned
