Job summary

Grand Central Bakery is seeking a Café Team Member in Seattle to join our vibrant cafes. You will prepare and serve delicious items, work on pastry and sandwich stations, and handle espresso drinks with care.

The role requires early bake shifts, weekend availability, and a friendly, professional approach to customers. As part of our team, you’ll contribute to a supportive, inclusive culture, follow health guidelines, and help maintain fast, accurate service.

Qualifications

• Must be able to start work as early as 3:00AM for bake shifts.
• Must be able to work weekends and have schedule flexibility.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to read/write English.
• Must maintain Health Department guidelines and a valid Food Handler's Card.
• HS diploma or GED preferred; basic math skills required.

Responsibilities

• Proficient on Point-of-Sale System and service at the counter.
• Serve bread and pastry to customers per Grand Central Bakery specs.
• Prepare and serve all sandwiches, including during rush periods.
• Prepare coffee/espresso drinks per specs; latte art proficiency ideal.
• Maintain a clean cafe environment with bussing and dishwashing tasks.
• Adhere to cash handling procedures with accuracy.
• Know and work multiple shifts: Retail Open/Close and Mid/Swing.
