Job summary

Falsetto Bakery is seeking a talented and driven Assistant Pastry Chef to join our growing culinary team. This role focuses on artisan bread production, dough preparation, fermentation, and baking, with responsibilities across breads, pastries, and desserts for Falsetto Hospitality's portfolio.

Working with our Corporate Pastry Chef, you will support daily production, maintain quality, and ensure efficiency in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in bakery, pastry, or bread production.
• Strong hands-on experience with artisan bread and dough production.
• Knowledge of fermentation, proofing, hydration, shaping, scoring, and baking techniques.
• Experience with sourdough and naturally leavened breads preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency at scale.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Flexible availability including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist daily production of artisan breads, pastries, desserts, and specialty baked goods.
• Prepare and execute a variety of breads and doughs with consistency.
• Support Corporate Pastry Chef with recipe execution and development.
• Operate and maintain mixers, ovens, proofers, and other bakery equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment.
• Monitor proofing, baking, cooling, storage, and handling to Falsetto Hospitality standards.
• Assist with inventory management, product rotation, ordering, and waste minimization.
• Communicate effectively with the pastry team and kitchen operations.
