Job summary

Whole Foods Market IP. L.P. is seeking an entry-level bakery team member in Edgewater, NJ. You will prepare, bake, decorate breads and pastries, and provide friendly, efficient service while upholding health, safety, and store standards.

You will learn production processes, participate in stock and display tasks, and support team members in a fast-paced environment. No prior retail experience required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Experience in bakery production preferred.
• Strict adherence to health and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Produces quality breads and pastries.
• Produces doughs, mixes, cakes, cookies, breakfast pastries, pies, and bars.
• Performs baking, cooling, wrapping, and labeling of products.
• Stocks dry products.
• Develops new recipes and production techniques for seasonal variance and productivity.
• Trains production personnel to high industry standards.
• Performs production planning and forecasting for events and holidays.
• Maintains production modules in the Datapax system.
• Arrives on time, groomed and prepared for shifts; attends trainings.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling; answers phones.
• Maximizes sales through proper prep, storage, rotation, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follows procedures including Weights & Measures, sanitation, safety.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary environment; maintains equipment per safety standards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures pricing accuracy.
• Reports safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
