Job summary

Monkeypod Kitchen by Merriman in Lahaina, HI is seeking a full-time bakery production associate to prepare a wide range of baked goods following standardized recipes and quality standards. You will measure ingredients, monitor oven conditions, and help shape, decorate, and finish pastries and breads.

We require the ability to stand 8–12 hours in a hot, busy environment and to lift and move heavy items as part of daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all bakery items following standardized recipes, including measuring ingredients and cutting pastry products.
• Ensure consistency and quality for all baked goods produced.
• Observe color of products and adjust oven temperatures, humidity, or proofer settings.
• Set oven temperatures and bake items in hot ovens.
• Combine measured ingredients in bowls for mixing and blending.
• Roll, shape, and form dough for breads, buns, pizza dough, and pies.
• Decorate baked goods and apply toppings as required.
• Measure flour and other ingredients using scales or graduated containers.
