Job summary

The DC Army National Guard Army National Guard seeks qualified personnel to supervise and perform maintenance on self-propelled field artillery cannon weapon systems, including automotive, turret, fire control, and chemical protection subsystems. You will learn to diagnose equipment issues, repair and test systems, and perform preventive maintenance while serving in the Army National Guard.

Qualifications

• Must be at least a junior in high school or have a high school diploma or GED
• Must be between ages 17 and 35
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards

Responsibilities

• Maintain diesel power plants, engines, fuel systems, air induction, exhaust, cooling, starting and charging systems, and electrical components on self-propelled artillery weapon systems
• Diagnose malfunctions, troubleshoot and perform unit maintenance on carriage-mounted armament and fire control systems
