Role and responsibilities

AI Interns design, build and evaluate AI agents and ML features that run in production. Strong hands-on AI development skills are required; this is a build role, not a research-only role.

• AI agent development: Build and improve LLM-based agents that use tools, retrieve documents and complete multi-step workflows such as document review, deal screening and client follow-up.
• Research: Track new models, frameworks and techniques, and assess which ones fit the platform's use cases.
• Prototyping: Turn ideas into working prototypes quickly, then harden the ones that prove out for production.
• Testing and evaluation: Build evaluation sets, measure accuracy and reliability, test prompts and guardrails, and document failure modes.
• Integration: Connect agents to internal APIs, data sources and third-party services in partnership with the full stack and QA teams.
• Documentation: Record designs, experiments and results so the team can reuse and extend your work.

Qualifications

Required

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, Mathematics or a related field
• Strong Python skills and hands-on experience building with LLM APIs (for example, Anthropic or OpenAI)
• Practical experience with agent or orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex or similar), tool calling and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
• Understanding of core ML concepts, model evaluation and prompt engineering
• A portfolio, GitHub or project write-up showing AI applications you have built

Preferred

• Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, pgvector, Weaviate or similar) and embeddings
• Familiarity with PyTorch, TensorFlow or scikit-learn
• Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol), REST APIs and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure)
• Experience with document AI: OCR, data extraction or classification
• Interest in fintech, lending or real estate
