Northwest Partners is looking to hire an experienced AI Engineer to work on a project with one of our premier clients in the technology industry. This role will collaborate across cybersecurity and machine learning teams to design and develop advanced ML and LLM-based solutions aimed at automating threat detection, incident response, and risk assessment.

Applicants must be able to work for any US employer without additional work visa sponsorship.

What YOU will do:

• Collaborate with cybersecurity and machine learning teams to identify and prioritize machine learning use cases.
• Design, build, and validate ML and LLM prototypes addressing cybersecurity challenges such as malware detection, phishing prevention, and anomaly detection.
• Lead the development of an in-house AI agent to deliver real-time insights, recommendations, and automated responses.
• Provide expert input on model selection, feature engineering, and hyperparameter tuning for cybersecurity scenarios.
• Integrate machine learning models with existing cybersecurity tools and workflows.
• Collaborate with data teams to prepare, clean, and engineer features from large-scale cybersecurity datasets.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and conduct knowledge transfer sessions with cybersecurity operations teams.
• Monitor industry trends in ML/LLM as they apply to cybersecurity and suggest innovative improvements.
• Develop a framework for continuous model monitoring, evaluation, and retraining.

What YOU will bring us:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML roles with cybersecurity applications.
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, model development, and automation.
• Strong SQL skills for data querying and preprocessing.
• Experience with Miniconda environments and Azure ML Studio.
• Familiarity with ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity domains such as threat detection, UEBA, and risk scoring.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a focus on building scalable, production-ready solutions.
• Ability to communicate complex ML concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent project management and collaboration skills.
