Job description

AI Engineer | NYC | $200k - $300k + Equity

We're looking for people who are excited about building with AI.

We're working with a team building an ambitious AI product and are looking for engineers who want to work on problems where the answer doesn't already exist.

You'll be building and shipping AI systems into production, experimenting with the latest models and techniques, and figuring out how to turn rapidly evolving AI capabilities into something genuinely useful.

You'll have the opportunity to work across areas such as:

• LLMs and generative AI
• AI agents and agentic systems
• RAG and retrieval
• Model evaluation and experimentation
• AI infrastructure
• Production ML systems
• Performance, reliability and scale

We're particularly interested in people who build.

You might have spent the last few years working on sophisticated machine learning systems. You might be a software engineer who has gone deep into AI. You might have built AI products in your spare time, contributed to open source, experimented with new models, or simply become obsessed with what's possible.

We're much more interested in what you've built than what your current job title says.

You should have strong engineering fundamentals, be comfortable working with Python and modern AI tooling, and enjoy taking ideas from “could this work?” it’s in production.

This is a chance to join at an early stage, have genuine technical ownership and help shape the product and technology rather than simply inherit someone else's architecture.
