Stott and May is partnering with a rapidly growing AI startup to recruit a Founding Engineer who will help build production-ready AI systems for enterprise customers. The role is based in Soho, NYC, and requires in-person work five days a week.

You will shape the technical foundation, influence architecture, and work directly with customers to translate requirements into scalable solutions while helping guide product direction as the company scales.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering background with experience building backend systems, APIs, integrations, or distributed applications (Python preferred).
• Ability to operate with high ownership and move quickly in a startup environment.
• Interest in AI systems and production applications.

Your Role

• As a Founding Engineer, you\'ll be one of the earliest members of the engineering team and play a key role in shaping the company\'s technical foundation.

• Work directly with customers to understand operational challenges, translate requirements into technical solutions, and optimize AI workflows.
