Job summary

You will collaborate with faculty to support the school’s mission, maintain a respectful learning environment, and reinforce responsible use of art materials and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Art Education or related field is required.
• Valid state art teaching certification or eligibility preferred.
• Experience teaching art to 3rd–8th grade is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of art media, art history, and safe studio practices.
• Ability to design engaging, inclusive lessons for diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver visual arts instruction for 3rd–8th grade.
• Develop a sequential art curriculum from foundational to advanced concepts.
• Teach drawing, painting, sculpture, digital art, and crafts as allowed.
• Differentiate instruction to meet varied learning needs.
• Maintain a safe, organized classroom and properly manage materials.
• Assess student progress and maintain records; communicate with parents and staff.
• Collaborate on interdisciplinary projects and school events.
• Support Catholic school mission and values in classroom culture.
