Responsibilities

• Teach art techniques including drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media, inspiring creativity.
• Create and collaborate on curriculum with colleagues for dynamic projects.
• Provide inclusive instruction, ensuring all students feel valued.
• Teach proper care and use of art tools and materials.
• Demonstrate artistic techniques to students.
• Assess student performance, assign grades, and write reports.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents.
• Organize the art room and manage supplies.
• Assist with scenery production, setup, and breakdown.
• Display student artwork throughout the school and assist with the annual art show.
• Cover classes and supervisory periods as needed.
• Participate in school community activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of School.

Qualifications

• Degree in art or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience in art.
• Experience in a school environment is a plus.
• Flexibility and adaptability.
• Playing the piano is a plus, as music is integrated into daily activities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Maintain professional standards in appearance, responsiveness, discretion, punctuality, and attendance.
• Commitment to upholding academic and behavioral standards.
