Christie’s, the world’s largest art business, seeks a Research Coordinator (Temporary) for the Old Masters Group in New York. You will support catalogue production, provenance research, image selection, and literature checks alongside curators and sales teams.

You’ll write catalogue essays, assist with proposals, and handle inquiries while helping install previews and prepare lot materials. Strong coordination, communication, and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and spoken communication across groups and sites.
• Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Excel and Outlook; knowledge of JDE and COS Media Library helpful.
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-up and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Heads of Sale with catalogue production, provenance research, and exhibition history checks.
• Research copyright information and select publication images; write catalogue essays.
• Assist with proposal preparation and respond to client inquiries for catalogues and images.
• Aid in gallery installations for previews, mount lot cards, and capture installation photos.
• Perform general department tasks as assigned by the line manager.
