Job summary

Muse Paintbar in Woodbridge, VA is seeking a part-time Art Instructor to host our guided painting sessions. You’ll lead the on-stage painting, engage a room full of guests, and ensure food and drinks land with the group.

With 2+ years of painting, teaching or leading a group, and strong customer-service skills, you’ll create a fun, supportive experience. You’ll also handle basic studio setup, clean-up, and occasional photos for social posts.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on painting experience, acrylics preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in art or related field preferred.
• Experience teaching or leading a group.
• Customer-facing experience and strong service mindset.
• Comfort with mic usage and studio tech (printers, sound).
• Reliable transportation; travel up to 20% weekly.
• Weekend/evening availability; must be 21 or older.
• TIPS and ServSafe certification encouraged; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-stage painting sessions and host the party.
• Ensure food and drinks land with guests and keep the room engaged.
• Prep and hang paintings; guide beginners using templates.
• Print attendee lists, seat guests, and set up palettes.
• Greet guests, manage seating, and assist at the bar/tableside.
• Capture photos for social media during sessions.
• Break down and clean up; reset studio for next session.
• Cross-train with kitchen/team to keep guest experience priority.
