Job summary

University of Wisconsin–La Crosse is maintaining an instructor pool for the College of Arts, Social Sciences, and Humanities (CASSH). Instructors may teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses face-to-face, hybrid, or online, under department chair supervision.

Responsibilities include maintaining currency in the content area, evaluating student work, providing timely feedback, and maintaining records. Office hours and possible advising may be involved; positions are in a pool and not always

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a field appropriate to the needs of the department, or significant progress toward a doctorate degree, or post-baccalaureate certification or licensure, or a bachelor’s plus experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction
• Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations
• Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance

Education
