Qualifications

• AED/CPR certification for PE teachers is required.
• Endorsements or related training for certification waivers may be needed under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans reflecting district curriculum requirements with accommodations for diverse learners.
• Plan and use instructional strategies and materials aligned to TEA guidelines and district policies.
• Assess student learning styles and tailor instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Set instructional goals with staff and supervise instructional aides and volunteers.
• Maintain professional relationships with parents, students, colleagues, and community.
