Art Director, Amazon Brand Innovation Lab

Description

As an Art Director on Brand Innovation Lab's US Travel and Services team, you'll create unique campaigns for global Financial Services, Services, and Travel brands (e.g., Geico, Indeed, Expedia, Booking.com).

You'll collaborate with creative directors, copywriters, designers, strategists, solutions managers, technologists, and producers to craft innovative work across the full Amazon spectrum (40+ brands including Prime Video, TNF, Alexa, Twitch, IMDb, Amazon Music, Amazon Live), focusing on campaigns that benefit customers, meet client needs, and push creative boundaries.

Your portfolio should showcase insightful, campaign-driven work across various media channels such as video, social, digital, activations, radio, gaming, and outdoor advertising. This role involves client-facing responsibilities, so strong presentation skills are essential.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Conceptualizing, designing, and executing innovative ad campaigns for global brands.
  2. Partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
  3. Creating campaigns under guidance, collaborating with internal and external partners.
  4. Delivering high-quality designs and art direction across Amazon touchpoints.
  5. Utilizing Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Figma proficiently.
  6. Using data to understand customers and drive results.
  7. Presenting ideas and campaigns effectively to stakeholders and clients.
  8. Ideating for various media including film, print, digital, OOH, experiential, and social.
  9. Managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Daily activities may include:

  • Brainstorming, creating presentations, and refining campaign ideas.
  • Presenting campaigns to clients and partners.
  • Collaborating on projects like charity drives, virtual travel experiences, and messaging strategies.

About the team:

Amazon's Brand Innovation Lab develops multi-stage campaigns to build brand awareness, relevance, consideration, acquisition, and loyalty, with a diverse team of strategists, creatives, technologists, engineers, and producers.

Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of art direction experience in advertising or in-house creative teams.
  • Online portfolio demonstrating conceptual and campaign skills across mediums.
  • Strong understanding of digital and social platforms.

Preferred skills:

  • Innovative problem solving, visual flair, storytelling, presentation skills, and collaborative mindset.
