About this job

Assist blind and visually impaired students create projects in one of our popular art classes - Basketry, Ceramics, Mosaic, Print Making, or Paper Mache.

  1. Assist students in art methodology and projects performed by instructor.
  2. Ability to follow instructor's directions.
  3. Communicate issues or concerns with instructor as needed.
  4. Maintain a safe and professional environment, assessing classroom and student surroundings for possible safety concerns.
  5. Sensitivity to students' individual variables.
  6. Availability weekdays 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM or 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM.
  7. Bilingual, Spanish/English (desired but not required).

Classes meet once a week for two hours.

Qualifications

- No experience working with visually impaired is necessary.
