Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field AND must meet prerequisites and complete Basic Law Enforcement Training OR Two years of experience in law enforcement or related field AND P.O.S.T. certification.
• A valid Class C driver’s license may be required for some positions.

Responsibilities

• Investigates alleged or suspected violations to determine evidence for prosecution or reporting findings.
• Collaborates with other authorities on surveillance, transcription, and research.
• Conducts background investigations and internal investigations of law enforcement agencies.
• Examines records to locate links in evidence and obtains/verifies evidence via interviews.
• Prepares reports detailing investigation findings and identifies evidence needs.
