Job summary

Sterling St James Inc. is seeking an experienced Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) to join a patient-centered, community-based healthcare organization.

The role supports a PCMH model and collaborates with physicians, PAs, ARNPs, and nursing staff to deliver comprehensive primary care. Responsibilities include advanced clinical assessments, patient care management, teaching plans, documentation, and care coordination.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited ARNP program.
• Current RN and ARNP licensure in Washington.
• Prescriptive authority in Washington.
• Experience in a broad primary care clinic.
• Experience with minor surgical techniques is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced clinical assessments and manage illnesses within ARNP scope.
• Collaborate with physicians, PAs, ARNPs, and nursing staff on patient care.
• Develop and implement individualized teaching plans for patients.
• Use independent clinical judgment based on evidence-based data.
• Maintain timely chart documentation (within 48 hours, 95% accuracy).
• Complete fee slips with appropriately matching diagnosis and procedure codes.
• Meet productivity: minimum 3,400 encounters per year (FT).
• Provide care coordination through daily huddles as part of PCMH.
• Identify at-risk populations and monitor panel health.
• Empower patients through self-management education and discharge planning.
• Explain procedures and treatment plans to patients before execution.
• Participate in quality management and peer review.
• Support clinical education of student nurse practitioners.
• Maintain all required annual training (HIPAA, Cultural Diversity, BBP, Sexual Harassment).
