Qualifications

• Must have a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school
• Must hold a current medical license to practice in the United States, DC or Puerto Rico
• Must be eligible for board certification
• Must have completed at least one year of an approved Graduate Medical Education internship
• Must have completed a training program in general surgery
• Must be a U.S. citizen to serve on Active Duty
• Must have permanent U.S. residency for Army Reserve

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, consult, and prescribe courses of treatment for patients
• Perform surgeries for Soldiers, retirees and their family members
• Participate in continued education programs, trainings, seminars and conferences
