Qualifications

• Must hold Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school.
• Must hold a current license to practice medicine in the United States, DC or Puerto Rico.
• Must be eligible for board certification.
• Must have completed at least one year of an approved GME internship.
• Must have completed a training program in general surgery.
• U.S. citizen to serve on Active Duty.
• Permanent U.S. residency for Army Reserve.

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, consult, and prescribe treatments and perform surgeries for Soldiers, retirees, and their families.
• Lead and participate in continued education programs, trainings, seminars and conferences to learn and grow.
• Provide medical and surgical care while advancing patient outcomes and military medicine.

Education

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)

Permanent certificate from ECFMG (foreign graduates)
