Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Services Specialist Maintenance Engineer to support AMO workshop operations, applying engineering principles to maintenance, repair, and testing activities. You will work with technicians, service delivery teams, and workshop leadership to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-efficient repairs while upholding high quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical/maintenance engineering or a related technical field.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills in a workshop environment.
• Experience with a variety of hand tools, mechanical equipment, and testing devices.
• Ability to inspect tooling and equipment to assess condition and maintenance needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership, supervision, and mentorship to technicians in the absence of workshop Supervisors or Managers.
• Maintain equipment records and QA documentation.
• Inspect AMO tooling and test equipment for readiness and compliance.
• Evaluate maintenance processes to improve reliability, quality, turnaround time, and cost efficiency.
• Configure and support workshop test stations, equipment, and testing systems.
• Collaborate with Service Delivery and Technical Teams on repair and maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot, test, assemble/disassemble, and inspect mechanical and electronic assemblies.
• Review procedures and update documents as needed.
• Analyze environmental data to diagnose equipment issues and develop solutions.
• Support experiments, field tests, and data collection; participate in on-call schedules.
