Job summary

Cascadia Global Security is seeking an Armed Security Officer for the Hallettsville, TX area. This part-time position offers weekend shifts from 7 am to 7 pm with daily pay options available, and requires you to provide body armor and a duty weapon with spare magazines.

Ideal candidates are 21+, comfortable around children, and able to manage stressful situations. Benefits include employer-supported insurance options after an initial period and opportunities for advancement within the security

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Must be able to work with children/teens and handle emergencies.
• Minimum age 21 years old.
• Provide body armor: outer carrier, inner carrier, soft armor.
• Provide your own duty weapon with 2 spare magazines.

Responsibilities

• Control access at sites.
• Investigate and report safety conditions.
• Patrols may be in company vehicle; driving history must be clean.
• Patrol on foot to observe activities at client facilities.
• Deterrence of theft and vandalism.
• Maintain safe and professional environment for staff and clients.
• Enforce campus rules and safeguard school grounds.
• Maintain daily administrative documentation.
• Wear uniform and adhere to grooming standards.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Security Responsibilities

• Access Control


• Investigate and report maintenance and safety conditions that may endanger the client, its associates, or public safety


• Patrols areassigned in a company-marked vehicle, provided the candidate's driving history isexemplary. Free of tickets, accidents, or marks against your driver's license.
  
  
  
  • Patrols may be assigned on foot to maintain visibility and observe possible unusual activities at client facilities
  
  
  
  


• Theft and vandalism deterrence


• Ensure the client, its associates, and facility personnel are provided with a safe and professional work environment


• Enforce campus rules and regulations


• Safeguard the school grounds from suspicious people and activity


• Patrol and supervise the school campus


• Ensure that daily administrative documentation is always kept concise and complete


• Uniform attire and grooming standards must be maintained while in uniform


• Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications and skills

• Basic computer skills and report-writing experience


• Ability to pass a criminal background check


• Must be comfortable working with children and teenagers


• Must be able to handle stressful situations and emergencies


• Minimum 21 years of age


• Candidates should be able to provide body armor:

Pay and Benefits

• Salary: $18per hour


• 50% employer-paid medical/dental/vision/ and free life insurance for full-time employees is available after the first 60 days.

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience

• Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)


• Armed Security: 1year (Required)


• Previous LEO or Military experience (Preferred)

License/Certification

• Level 3 (Armed) Security License (Required)


• CPR Training (Preferred)
