Job summary

Allied Universal®, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Incident Response in Queens, NY. You will conduct armed patrols at transit facilities, respond to incidents, and provide professional customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

Requirements include a Law Enforcement Officer License, an Armed Guard Card/License, a high school diploma, and at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Qualifications

• Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
• Armed Guard Card/License preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted as per laws.
• Drug screening will be conducted as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws; may be required prior to employment.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors while following site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities at transit facilities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of stations, platforms, transit yards, buildings, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner following post orders and requirements.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized entry, and report suspicious activity and policy violations.
• Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment, including firearms, and complete accurate activity and shift reports.
