Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Armed Mobile Patrol in Birmingham, AL. You will safeguard clients, perform armed patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents with professionalism.

The role requires a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit, a minimum of one year in security, and compliance with background checks and drug screening. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors and staff while following site procedures.
• Conduct regular armed patrols to deter incidents and ensure safety.
• Respond to incidents with de-escalation and coordinate with authorities as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and/or public agency personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, parking areas, platforms, vehicles, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and requesting law enforcement, medical, and/or supervisory support as needed.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized entry, and document observations, incidents, and unusual activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Carry and maintain assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific procedures.
