Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English proficiently.
• Minimum 2 years armed security experience.
• Must own and possess a registered 9mm or .45 ACP handgun.
• Must possess an active State Security Guard License for the post state.
• Must possess an active State Firearms License for the post state.
• Must maintain firearm qualifications, first-aid/CPR certifications, and annual use-of-force training.
• Experience operating walk-through magnetometers and handheld detectors.
• Must stand and patrol for extended periods and be able to perform physical duties.
• Must pass USCIS OSI suitability screening and background checks.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform continuous access control and screen visitors and personnel using magnetometers and hand-held wands.
• Conduct regular facility checks, monitor surveillance systems, and maintain site security.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms per post orders.
• Document activities, incidents, and security breaches in reports.
• Provide professional service while enforcing security protocols.
• Maintain proficiency with setup, calibration, and operation of security equipment.
• Ensure compliance with laws and site post orders.
• Coordinate with the partner guard and report issues to the Regional Security Manager.
