Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring an Armed Security Shift Supervisor for a Newark, NJ site. This full-time role offers a pay rate of $24.61 per hour with a prevailing wage of $5.55 per hour, totaling $30.16 per hour. Shifts include mornings and evenings, Monday through Friday.

The position includes paid orientation, uniforms, equipment, and opportunities for advancement. The Armed Security Shift Supervisor will supervise staff on the assigned shift, liaise with account and operations management, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills.
• Background check and drug screen may be required.
• Customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Intermediate computer skills to operate client-specific tech.
• Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and effectively.
• Ability to communicate staffing needs to management.
• Experience in training and developing security officers.
• Administer safety programs and site-specific hazard awareness.
• Assist in managing uniforms, equipment, supplies, and vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the delivery of quality services on a specific shift at an assigned customer.
• Act as liaison between site supervisor, Account Manager/Field Operations Manager and security officers.
• Provide coaching, recognition and discipline within empowerment range.
• Ensure officers receive appropriate training and development.
• Communicate staffing needs on shift to management.
• Administer JSA’s and safety programs outlining site hazards.
• Assist in managing uniforms, equipment, supplies and vehicles.
