Job summary

Allied Universal in Poway, CA is seeking an Armed Security Shift Lead to supervise security operations on a designated shift at the client site. The role acts as a liaison between the site supervisor, Account Manager, and officers, providing coaching, recognition and disciplined guidance within approved empowerment ranges.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local law.
• Background check and drug screen as required by laws.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Intermediate computer skills for client-site wireless tech.
• Ability to respond calmly to crises at the client site.
• Communicate staffing needs to Account or Operations Manager.
• Ensure officers receive training and professional development.
• Administer safety programs and site hazard procedures.
• Assist with uniforms, equipment, inventories and vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the delivery of quality security services on the assigned shift.
• Act as a liaison between site supervisor, Account Manager/Field Operations Manager and officers.
• Supervise staff on shift, providing coaching, recognition and discipline within empowerment range.
• Ensure officers receive appropriate training and development.
• Administer JSA’s and safety programs outlining site hazards.
• Assist management to oversee uniforms, equipment, supplies and vehicles; maintain inventories.
• Communicate staffing needs on shift to management.
• Operate in varied environments and handle physical requirements as needed.
