Job summary

Ahtna Inc. is seeking a Security Guard to perform fixed-post, mobile, and foot patrols in diverse conditions. You will monitor alarms, access points, and respond to incidents in accordance with post orders and client rules.

The role requires at least 2 years of security or military experience, a High School diploma, a valid guard card, and fluent English. Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years security/civilian law enforcement experience OR military experience.
• Must hold a current valid guard card and driver’s license.
• Must pass pre-hire screening: background, drug test, and physical exam.

Responsibilities

• Maintain situational awareness during fixed-posts, mobile patrols, or foot patrols.
• Monitor alarms, radio traffic, and access control; report incidents per post orders.
• Inspect vehicles and pedestrians; screen for prohibited items as directed by post orders.
• Escort individuals/vehicles and document events; assist law enforcement as needed.
