Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking an Armed Security Officer University Flex in Richardson, TX. This part-time role utilizes a shift-pickup platform to view and claim open shifts across multiple sites, providing patrols and incident response experience in healthcare, education, finance, and more.

The position offers hands-on security experience with growth opportunities and flexible scheduling, including irregular shifts with short notice.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Must be at least 18 years old (21 if armed).
• Reliable and adaptable to different post assignments.
• Ability to operate radio/telephone equipment and console monitors.
• Strong communication skills with the public.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Monitor for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of emergency or security threat.
• Warn violators of rule infractions and monitor entrances and exits.
• Provide access control and verify authorized personnel entries.
• Investigate incidents and prepare reports; maintain logs.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous manner.
• Make emergency notifications as required by site Post Orders.
