Allied Universal in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Armed Security Officer for weekend, part-time coverage. You will monitor and protect government and other facilities, maintain a professional presence, and deliver customer service to staff and visitors.

The position requires an armed guard card/license and at least 1 year of armed security experience, plus background checks and drug screening as required. Flexible shifts and opportunities for growth are available within a national security leader.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Must possess an armed guard card/license.
• Armed roles require a valid driver’s license only for driving positions.
• Able to pass background checks and drug screening as required by law and policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while following site procedures and emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry according to site policies.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly, following established procedures and coordinating with responders.
• Prepare clear reports documenting patrols, incidents, and activities.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities at a government services location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, public access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site policies, maintaining a professional presence around public-facing offices and facilities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and coordinating with appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
