Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer (Part-Time) in Houston, TX. You will patrol retail sites, deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

A valid Texas driver’s license and a Level III armed certification are required, along with eligibility to work and pass background checks. Daytime and evening shifts are available; the role offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to advance within a leading security services

You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store team members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and maintain awareness of customer traffic, employee activity, and delivery operations, reporting suspicious activity or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain required firearms qualifications and follow applicable laws, Allied Universal policies, and site procedures related to armed duties.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
