As an Armed Security Officer - Highway 6 N in Houston, TX, you will patrol retail locations, deter incidents, and respond to security concerns while delivering outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
• 3+ years of combined law enforcement/corrections/military experience or 5+ years armed security experience.
• Active Level III Armed Certification in Texas and 21+ years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents calmly and professionally, including disturbances and medical situations.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of store, parking areas, exterior perimeter, and other areas to deter theft and unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, report security concerns, hazards, and incidents per site procedures.
• Maintain armed post qualifications and complete accurate activity and incident reports.

Job Description

As a Armed Security Officer - Highway 6 N in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail grocery location.
• Respond to incidents, including disturbances, medical situations, suspicious activity, and/or critical situations, in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the store, parking areas, loading zones, exterior perimeter, and other assigned areas to help deter theft, trespassing, and unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and unusual incidents in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain required armed post qualifications, complete accurate activity and incident reports, and work collaboratively with store leadership and law enforcement personnel when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
