Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer at a Train Station in Los Angeles, CA. You will provide security and customer service, enforce access control, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents.

Applicants must have armed credentials and be prepared to respond professionally to incidents, with strong communication and teamwork for day and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of armed security-related experience or equivalent.
• Armed guard card/license required.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors while enforcing site policies and access control.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly and follow policy with appropriate notifications.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor and contractor information.
• Prepare accurate daily activity and incident reports and maintain equipment.

Job Description

As a Armed Security Officer Train Station in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with professionalism and sound judgment. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; promptly notify appropriate site contacts and emergency services as directed by policy.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, control entry and exit activity, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery information in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation; maintain assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or batons is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
