As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $24.53 / Hour

• Mon: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Tue: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Wed: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sat: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sun: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization for entry, and maintain awareness of personnel, vehicles, and deliveries entering or exiting the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
